KACHIN CIVIL WAR: THE REFUGEES (2012) (24/25)
A Kachin refugee settled at Je Yang, one of the largest IDP camps close to Laiza KIA stronghold city, where five thousand displaced persons by the current conflict have found temporary shelter. Fierce clashes have taken place since the ceasefire was broken out by the Burmese army last June 2011. During months the fighting were spread out along the Kachin State leaving more than 40,000 displaced persons and refugees (a conservative estimating) in accord with the humanitarian aid groups.
