KIA recruits during a resting time from their basic training program at one of the trainig camps outskirsts Laiza city, the headquarters of the Kachin Independence rebel Army. The KIA is enhancing its troops number since the ceasefire was broken out by the Burmese army last June 2011. During months the fighting were spread out along the Kachin State leaving more than 40,000 displaced persons and refugees (a conservative estimating) in accord with the humanitarian aid groups.
