Known formerly as a beauty queen, is running today a political campaign for the local rule of Nan city. 30-year-old Yollada Suanyot, who was born a male, has become the first transgender to register as an election candidate. The elections were hold on last May 27th in 24 constituencies in 15 districts, where she was declared winner with 3,812 point for the first ranking. In accord with the Thai media this is the first time in Thailand that a transgender is taking part in a provincial election.
