Known formerly as a beauty queen, Yollanda is running today a political campaign for the local rule of Nan city. 30-year-old Yollada Suanyot, who was born a male, has become the first transgender to register as an election candidate. In accord with the Thai media this is the first time in Thailand that a transgender is taking part in a provincial election.
